Tether, “Issue USDT in the US in compliance with the Genius Act”… Announcing formal entry following the law signed by Trump
As the leader in the stablecoin market, Tether is accelerating its integration into the system by formalizing the issuance of USDT in the United States. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated in an interview with Decrypt, “We plan to issue USDT in the United States in compliance with the stablecoin regulatory law 'Genius' signed by President Donald Trump.”
Ardoino countered, “We are doing our best to comply with the Genius law's overseas issuer guidelines,” and refuted, “Some are claiming that we will ignore this, but that is not true.”
Tether is currently issuing USDT in El Salvador, and this statement officially indicates its intention to actively issue stablecoins in mainland U.S. The Genius law is a key bill of the digital asset regulatory framework promoted by the Trump administration, granting legal status to stablecoins and clearly defining standards for issuers.
This announcement attracts attention to whether Tether, which has been restricted in its activities in the U.S. due to regulatory risks, can face a new phase of growth within the system.
