Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced that an agreement has been reached with Israel on a 60-day ceasefire proposal. President Trump reported on the 30th (local time) through his SNS platform TruthSocial, “The United States delegation had a long meeting with the Israeli side in the Gaza Strip, and Israel agreed to the conditions to confirm the 60-day ceasefire.”

He further emphasized, “During this period, we will cooperate with all parties to completely end the war” and “I hope Hamas will accept this proposal for Middle East peace.”

This ceasefire proposal is noted for its potential to become a turning point in easing tensions in the Middle East region. With the United States once again taking the forefront as a mediator, the reaction of Hamas is expected to be a key variable in future negotiations.
