JP Morgan "Stablecoin, grows to 500 billion dollars by 2028…should be cautious of excessive optimism"
JP Morgan has released a cautious analysis of the future outlook for the stablecoin market. According to Coindesk, JP Morgan expects that by 2028, the stablecoin market size will reach approximately 500 billion dollars. This is a conservative figure compared to the 1-2 trillion dollar projections asserted by some market experts.
According to the report, the majority of the current demand for stablecoins is occurring at cryptocurrency exchanges, and payment demand accounts for only 6% of the total. JP Morgan pointed out that this concentration of usage is a structural limitation that makes it difficult for stablecoins to integrate quickly into the traditional financial system.
JP Morgan warned, "While it's true that the stablecoin market is growing, one should not interpret the rate and scope of its expansion too optimistically." They added, "If regulations, infrastructure, and expansion of actual use do not follow, it will be difficult for the market size to expand above a certain level."
